Ascension Thursday

"In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be." John 14:2-3
There are so many thoughts that could go through my mind on Ascension Thursday and obviously heaven is one of them. I am waiting for heaven. For eternity with Christ and all of my brothers and sisters! I wrote a poem a little while back about my good friend Sister Elizabeth (she is a Franciscan Sister, T.O.R.) and heaven. I can't wait to spend eternity with her in heaven where we will never have to say good bye! So here is the poem and a picture of Sister and I.

Gosh, that's beautiful!!! Have you ever felt a call to be a Franciscan Sister as well? Elizabeth seems so much like family already, she would truly become so if that were to happen. (When I saw the movie Therese, I finally understood more about that bond.) . . . and what an inspiring poem!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the message and I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. In response to your questions, no I am not called to religious life. I see the beauty in it and also the complementarity between religious life and married life! I am confident that I am called to living out the vocation of marriage and giving myself completely to Christ through a family.
ReplyDeleteIt'll happen! I can't WAIT! : ) They'll be such joy when it does!!! : )
